            • Murphy Monk, President

              Murphy Monk is the President of the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce. In this capacity, she is responsible for leading the chamber in its mission: to be a catalyst for community success through member support and advocacy. She performs many functions including budget planning, strategy, and execution; event planning; and project management. Through continued member outreach, Murphy assesses the needs of the chamber’s membership and provides focused, valuable service. 

              Murphy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Clemson University. During her time at Clemson she was on the President's List and Dean's List, was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and Lambda Pi Eta Communications Honor Society, where she served as Social Media Director, and a Clemson University Welcome Coordinator. She is Past President of the Hartsville Kiwanis Club where she still serves on the board, serves on the Thomas Hart Academy Board of Directors, SC Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, chairs the SC Chamber of Commerce Local Chambers Committee, and serves on the Darlington County Economic Development Progress Board of Directors, Community Foundation for a Better Hartsville Board of Directors, and the St. Luke United Methodist Church Council. She is a graduate of the 2019 Leadership Hartsville class. 

              Murphy is a Darlington County native who currently resides in Hartsville with her daughter Margaret. Her hobbies include anything Clemson football related.

              Debbie Lynch, Administrative Assistant

              In this role, Debbie does a little bit of everything! You can see Debbie's touch sprinkled on everything we do here at the Chamber. She is the bright smile that you see when you come into the chamber, and that smile radiates over the phone as well! If you like the decorations at any chamber event and think the tables look nice- that is ALL Debbie! She has the eye for creativity and makes our events pop. She is the queen of organization and spreadsheets, and makes sure all of our seating and sponsorships are A+. Speaking of A+, that is the effort in which Debbie gives every single day. Her positivity keeps the chamber moving forward, and we are so lucky she came to us after spending her entire career in banking, most recently with The Citizens Bank. 

              We don't fool ourselves, and we know that Debbie's favorite part of her life is being Mimi to her ever-growing family. She and her husband Timmy Lynch live here in Hartsville, and have the unofficial title of the best Halloween house in 29550.
