“Qigong, pronounced “chi gong,” was developed in China thousands of years ago as part of traditional Chinese medicine. It involves using exercises to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the goal of improving and maintaining health and well-being. Qigong has both psychological and physical components and involves the regulation of the mind, breath, and body’s movement and posture.”

ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Diane Wiggins, a RYT500 & YACEP, specializes in Yin Yoga with over 400 hours of Yin teacher training. Additionally, she is a level III Gentle Somatic Yoga Practitioner. While delving into these practices, she discovered QIGONG and developed a passion for energy work. She is now an Associate Instructor of the Yoqi style of Qigong. Through these modalities, Diane seeks healing for various aspects of the “self”: heart, mind, spirit, energy, emotion & physical. An essential part of her journey involves connecting with others and guiding them through these ancient arts of movement and stillness to a self-awareness & balance that leads to a life of joyful ease.
